Tow strap

Tow straps are designed for pulling or towing vehicles. Because towing a vehicle often results in the tow strap making contact to the ground, the abraded low energy storage tow strap will not recoil as severely if a strap failure occurs. Factor 55 tow straps are manufactured in the USA from a low stretch 100% Polyester material. 2" straps can easily fit into common 3/4" screw pin shackle openings and Factor 55 has discovered that the edges of 2" straps do not get abraded as easily as wider 3 and 4" wide straps.

Soft shackle with rope retention pulley

Soft shackles may be used as a lightweight replacement connecting rigging for common steel screw pin shackles. The Factor 55 10" (pull to pull length) Standard Duty Soft Shackles are made in the USA under the uncompromised Factor 55 quality standards. Like all Factor 55 rigging products, these shackles have been lab and field-tested to assure consistent repeatable minimum breaking strength values. Each Standard Duty soft shackle is constructed of 7/16 diameter UHMWPE 12 strand rope similar in construction to synthetic winch lines. The RRP XTV can be used to increase pulling power or redirect the winch line. During momentary slack, patented rope retention rubber fingers prevent synthetic winch rope from escaping the pulley groove preventing premature rope failure. The oversized hole radius provides a smooth rubbing surface and keeps the legs of the soft shackle from rubbing on the edges of the RRP XTV. The critical friction surface has also been teflon treated to increase slickness and heat dissipation.
